I just switched from a Linksys 804.11b wireless router to a Belkin 54g router.
I had no problems configuring port forwarding on the Linksys but not able to do it on the Belkin.
I go into the "Virtual Servers" area, put in my info... I put the same port number in both incoming and private port area and then put in my static IP address of my system, check the enable box and then I click 'Apply' but after it applies it clear the entries.

Generally speaking, when I've seen this kind of problem - you can't enter a particular IP, it's because it is not on the same subnet as the router. Double check your router address/mask against the IP you are trying to forward to.
