hey every body, I would like to ask how can I open a port forward on a router with command line on linux OS ? or are there something else to help me to do this action with a script, source code on java, etc.. thank you for your reading my msg

Two different concepts open port vs forward port.
You can script changes like with Cisco routers which are command line but what OS you are on has nothing to do with it as long as it has a tftp server to transfer/upload the script.
Not something you can do with a soho router with a GUI that I am aware of.
You would still need to telent/tftp to the router and this is where the linux command line would end.

mmmmm, sorry Wonderer I think you don't understand me, I am trying to develop a java program within I can forward a port on my router sagem (and it is not cisco router). so I am asking is it possible to such action ? thank you
