I have commercial Popup blocker, Pro version, and IE popup tool is activated as well. Practically, I have no popup ads, but almost any time I open IE, one or more websites open, mostly semi- or frankly porno.
Anything can be done?
P. S. It's a relatively new thing, 2 or 3 mos.

You have to find the program that is connecting to those web sites. The first 2 places to look are:
In the startup folder. Run msconfig and disable everything in the startup tab.
Run regedit and go to:
HKLM
Software
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
RunLook closely.

You should also run a couple of Adware programs as well: AdAware, Spybot Search and Destroy are the ones I use.

Try Windows Defender as well. It's free. I also like Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy, both free, too.

Thank you all!
I do have both Spybot and AdAware, but didn't run them for a long time, since I'd BOUGHT Spy Sweeper and the last version of NAV that controls spyware (in addition to viruses).
I'll follow all advices and will report the results in a few days.
I also wonder: will deleting all cookies that don't look familiar might be usefull? Or using "Delete cookies" in IE Internet tools would be more effective? I never do the latter because I'm afraid that I'd lose useful cookies too and will have to re-login to all "my" sites.

I'd delete all tracking cookies found by spybot, adaware, why not?
But they're probably not gonna help you in this issue at the moment.
FYI, if you want to stop the bad cookies, turn off third party cookies in your browser.

Ohhh, and Norton sucks for spyware control, and I honestly think their PC AV products suck, too.

I ran both Ad ASware and Spybot-S&D. It helped for that day session, but next day trash websites reapperead. I also followed other advices, except my Registry does not have HKLM key (or I could not find it).
I will find and install Windows Defender, we'll see then.
Thank you all again.

You probably have a Trojan downloader that's reinstalling things after you remove them.
FYI...HKLM = HKEY_Local_Machine
