I recently reformatted my computer and I'm fairly certain that everything is configured properly on my machine as far as my connections (firewall, router, BitComet and other P2P programs) are concerned.
Here's my problem:
I'll start a download and the speed will start to rise to, on average, anywhere from 5-65 kb/s. Then, within a couple of minutes it will start dropping right down to 0. Then the 0 will disappear and there is nothing shown under speed. This happens again and again, only every time after this it only goes up to about half of its highest initial speed before dropping to 0 and then nothing.
The exact same thing, for the most part, happens during my uploads.
I've checked everything (including the Block WAN Request set to disabled, speaking of which, this makes me fail the GRC test, is this normal?) from my router to my firewall to the static IP I set. I forwarded my ports, pointing it towards the Static IP that I set. I can't seem to find anything wrong.
I also tried the BTFAQ NAT Check and about 60% of the time I get a "Pass" and the rest of the time I get something along the lines of "Connection succesful but timed out".
Could my problem be with a Web Filter, maybe? Doubtful, I guess. It has to be either my TCP/IP settings, router or firewall.
The same thing happens in other P2P programs, by the way, such as DC++. I even set DC++ to Passive Mode and no difference.
Can somebody suggest something for me to try or suggest another forum where somebody else might have some answer if no one on here has anything? I'm losing my mind!!!
