Play AVi files on LCD Tv

I have successfully set up a wireless network for my home to enable ADSL to all 3 pc's.
I recently bought a switch, and set up a separate network via Ethernet Cables to share files. I now can play movies from the upstairs PC on my TV downstairs, by using the network connection to the PC downstairs.
Now the missus wants a LCD in another room. I do not want to purchase another PC simply to connect to the LCD to watch movies that are on the other PC.
What is another option for me?
Is there LCD(TV's) that have a LAN input? If so would this allow the user to use the remote of the TV to navigate to a network address and play movie files?

I don't understand something. You said that you can do it with your TV but you don't know if you can do it with your wife's TV.

The TV i have downstairs has a PC on the network, and a Capture Card. It also uses the TV as its Monitor.
If i get a LCD for an upstairs room, where there is NO PC, i would like to still be able to watch avi files on the LCD, but have no PC in that room. If i run a Network Cable through the wall to the room with the new LCD TV, is there a way to play the avi files without another PC in that room?

My guess is the files would play. I don't know about TV since I never watch it. However, I searched Google for TV over cat5
I doubt it's what you want but there were a lot of hits.
