pinging with large packets

hi

how do i ping another computer on my network with packets larger than 65536 bytes? (i hear it can mess them up, and i wanna mess up a friends system. he got me earlier with sub7. this is time for revenge >:] )

basically that is a denial of service attack so yes, it is considered bad.

Most Windows installations are patched against that anyway. Did your friend deliberately hit you with Sub7 or was he just a moron who caught it? Sub7 spreads by checking the Outlook address book and forwarding itself to anyone it finds in it.

If he did it deliberately (a) he's not your friend and (b) he knows more about this stuff than you do. It's not a real swift idea to throw rocks at someone who owns a catapult.

he was just joking around. i got him back by taking his ram. he may know more about this stuff than me, but it took him a while to realize that half of his ram was gone! lol

now my computer has more ram, and he's got a POS.

thanks for your help guys. i had no idea big packets were so bad. lol
