Moved into a new apartment with an advertised "T1 line". I checked the connection on DSL reports and it seemed fine. Surfing the net is no problem and downloading files is as fast as my last T1 line was.
Problem is that I tried to go onto a game to play online and the ping was huge. Rebooted and huge again. Tried other games to make sure it wasnt some weird problem with 1 game and the same results occured. My ping to servers is gigantic, 4500 minimum if it registers at all. No problems in the past with any broadband connection, so I thought this was odd.
Fast Connection, Fast Computer, Almost stand still pings.
Any help?

Tried a bunch of ipconfig stuff and nothing works. DCHP auto did the IP and DNS server so could it have something to do with that? I tried pinging several websites, all timed out, 100% loss. Only thing I can ping is me, I cannot even ping the gateway.

The ping problem could simply be the server you're connecting to is loaded with other gamers and that's slowing the ping down. Try pinging other sites on the web when you're not in the game. If your ping results are good, that's the problem. You have to remember, most games run from servers....the more people connected to that server playin the same game....the slower it's going to be.

When trying to ping websites outside of game, everything comes up as request timed out, it neer works. I am convinced the ISP has shut it down to cover themselves from any possible virus infections. Going to seek their assistance asap, thank you fro your input.

That sounds like a DNS issue. If you have your IP address assigned statically, you'll have to get the ISP's DNS address(es) and add it (them) to your IP setup on your PC.
