My laptop can not access into internet, error message : internet explorer cannot display the webpage.
I did ipconfig/release, renew and flushdns, all these are ok.
I can ping 127.0.0.1 and default gateway.
I did network diagnostics, it showed -- IP addess 192.168.1.74 (failed).
My other pc can access internet without any problem with this same ip address.
I don't know what is wrong with this laptop about this ip address.
How to fix this problem ?

Check Event Log.
Try tracert to e.g. google.com. Where did it stop?
Maybe DNS didn't work.

Check those things.

First, compare the TCP/IP information for the laptop that isn't working against the one that is. Simply open a command prompt window on both (Start >> Run - type in cmd and hit Enter) and type the following command:

ipconfig /all

Compare all settings, the only ones that should differ is the actual IP address. If your DNS and/or Default Gateway address(es) aren't the same then that's your issue.

Use nslookup to try resolving the domain name, see whether it works. If not, then you can try to configure the following free DNS servers from OpenDNS:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

Hope helps..

If all else fails. remove the nic card from device manager and reboot and let xp reinstall everything. Make sure you have the driver on hand just in case.
