OK, here is the situation. I would like to network 2 pcs, one at my business about 5 miles away from my home and one pc at my home. I have a business phone line in my house and office that has the same number, so if someone were to call my business, the phone would ring both in my house and at my office. Would I be able to set up my network through that phone line using the HOME PNA? I generally need this network to transfer files from one computer to another. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

i dont fully understand what u mean, But what i think u mean the answer is a No. Another way would be to buy an external ZIP drive, They are quite cheap and are just like big capacity floppy disks. I have a 100MB Zip drive, It cost £5 and it was second hand.

HomePNA only works internally to a home. It uses the home's phonelines, and it doesn't connect to other locations. I agree with Angel tat a Zip Drive would be the best bet for you.
Other option is to use FTP, this would mean a broadband solution at both home and office (could be a tax right off for business)

Since the topic is PhoneLine Networking,
I have a general question. Is HomePNA on its way out?
About a year ago, seems like Staples
& CompUSA were full of HomePNA systems.
Now, they are non-existent on the shelves.
Yet, there are plenty of Wireless Units
and the prices on those are down.
Has HomePNA been pushed aside by
Wireless 802.11b? Are the manufacturers
making more room for 802.11a?
Did HomePNA not perform as well overall
as expected?Any comments?
Thanks,
M. Noel
