I recently had a new modem (PcTel HSP56 Micromodem) installed. Now, when I attempt to get online, I occasionally get an error message that says the modem is not plugged in or turned on. But, when I restart the computer, everything works fine. This is very annoying. Any suggestions??? Thanks

Since the modem is a recent acquisition you might check and see what the driver date is. I found one from 2/18/2003 at http://www.modem-drivers.com/drivers/87/87069.htm
