My USR5410 g wireless card works fine on my xp home laptop but i tried it in a older win 98 laptop but it did not detect it after a few restarts and the new hardware wizard found nothing. i installed the software and still no card was found and the lights did not come on, like they do in the xp machine. The pcmcia is 32bit in the 98 so i havnt a clue what to do. Any ideaS?
Does your Laptop support 32bit CardBus PCMCIA Cards ??? earlier PCMCIA Cards were only 16bit, and if your laptop only supports the earlier standard then you need to search for an older Wireless Card.
I think the ZoomAir 4004 and older Proxim/Agere were 16bit, try EBAY??
