Hi, Sorry if this sounds a little amateur but I will try to provide as many details as I can.. At home we have a LAN with all PCs attached and can all see each other's shared files perfectly. I have recently bought an iMac with OS X 10.5 Leopard on it which connects to the network via wireless - it shares our workgroup and therefore can share the internet and wireless printer. I also can (usually) see the PCs on the network from it and access them. (Although sometimes I can't see them, even though I have internet access) My issue is none of the PCs can see my Mac in their network places even though it is attached to the same workgroup and can see them. I've googled as much as I can but haven't come across any solutions (or maybe I didn't understand?) This is a pressing issue and I would be so grateful if anyone can help out!!

In OS X, is file sharing turned on?

Is that in the System Preferences aykantspel? Or do you simply mean sharing individual folders? for example, I have My Pictures folder ticked as share folder, but haven't set any network file sharing and not sure how
