PC access to our Mac Server

February 6, 2014 at 15:24:11
Specs: Windows 7, Intel Cor i7 / 6BG
Until yesterday, I could see my entire Mac OSX server from my PC via intranet.
The power went out - and since then, i can't get the connection back.
My PC is Windows 7, connected to the internet via wireless router.
the MAC is OSX server 10.6.8 and connected via a different switch.
I can find the computer, but when i connect, i only see the public user folders. none of our folders or data.

I don't work with apple macs a lot but if these two systems were both windows systems, I'd look at the shares on the mac. perhaps they need to be re-created. Try sharing another folder on the mac, as a test, see if the windows 7 computer sees the new test share.
If the windows 7 computer does see the test share, re-create/add-new or edit and save the share properties for the share you really want on the mac.

The grass may not be greener on the other side but it just might have less weeds...
