Ok, so I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 and the WIFI is pretty much non existant. I can't even open the HP Wireless assistant. I can connect to the internet by plugging it into the ethernet line. I tried going to my network and sharing center to see if I could locate my wireless router, but nothing shows up. I read that it may be something to with my motherboard. Is there anything I can do short of replacing the motherboard to reconnect wirelessly? Oh yeah, I have also updated my drivers and all of the other stuff that HP recommended. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

If you don't mind spending about $30-$40, you can buy a Hawkings USB wifi adapter. There are other brands too. It comes with the driver CD. It's cheaper than a mother board.
