password protecting an FTP server

CPU/Ram: AMD 2500+ 256mb ram

I am trying to set up an FTP server, but would like to have good password protection. Can anyone direct me to a program that can generate random passwords at certain interval, that would interface and synchronize with an FTP server. Im not exactly sure how to explain this...

Serv-U FTP (program)

set up accounts on their and define passwords yr self

do not enable anonomous log ons

then no 1 is gettin in unless they have been given a password from u

I would not recomend doing this...

FTP is not very secure\.
