i'd like to give them access to my wireless network for internet, but i don't won't them browsing my network shares.

how might i password protect computers within the network?

when you wana remove the password from the list just clear the history and delete cookies from internet exporer's tools-internet options, so that you can remove all the cookes from the password list.
