If the unit is charged and you did do a "hard" reset there is little else to try. Guess you could let the battery run down but it might take months to really crash it. Could take the battery out. "Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
