pages being printed in wrong order

Multi-paged documents are coming out in the wrong. Especially the first few pages, but that may be just my impression.

Could this have something to do with it being a networked printer? (IP packets are not guaranteed to arrive in the same order). This is why I am putting this in the networking Category.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Could be a setting in the printer driver, such as "print even-numbered pages first" or "print odd-numbered pages first", or "print in reverse order".

However, those settings wouldn't just affect network printing. They would apply to wired printing also.

No, this won't be a network issue. One of the functions of a network interface is to recombine packets in their proper order.

It could be a setting, but it seems more likely to me the print job itself is garbled. Try sending it to another printer. If the problem remains, try sending the print job from another computer. If the problem remains, it seems most likely (to me) it's a problem with the actual print job.

I am the captain of my soul.
