hi everyone,
mine is a network of 25 systems, all loaded with windows 98 and configured to access internet thru MULTITECH proxy server, ZYXEL 153 WAN Bridge and RAD ASM-20 modem. (since i'm a newbee, i may not provide you the exact setup of my place. still i'll try my level best). the customer is having an internet account with a local isp and we need to configure each windows system for DNS Configuration also. we give the ip of otherside of the proxy server as gateway address for each system.
setup was fine till last month. last month we had to change the DNS address of each system. since then we are facing the following problem.
the problem description:
------------------------when user uses google.com for searching required info., he gets a list of search results. now, when he clicks on to any of the listed links, he gets a page cannot be dispalyed error. especially if you put the following words for search, "COMPUTER VISION". some times while checking the mail if he clicks on to any message or delte buton or any link for that matter he gets a page syaing that "this page cannot be displayed".
let describe you what we did for this problem. we checked all the structured cabling, checked for any IP conflict including proxy server's ethernet interface, etc. but of no use.
so, can any one please suggest a way out of this problem.
thanking you.

forgot to add these lines........
sometimes this link are getting loaded to the web browser. so we cannot assume that the particular link is not existing in reality.
an example:
if you click on the folloeing link you will get the mentioned errorhttp://www.cs.cmu.edu/~cil/vision.html
but, if you remove "/~cil/vision.html" and press "go" it gets connected to www.cs.cmu.edu. and web page is displayed
pl help
