Packet analysis at College?

I'm currently at the U of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and I have noticed that I am getting unbelieveable packet loss on the network. I've been informed that this is due to packet analysis that they run?? Is there someway that I can block this to have a packet loss free connection?? What can I do?

No.
"What can I do?"
Encrypt your traffic via a VPN and connect through an outside connection (to a proxy or home setup even).
Or use ssh, connect to a remote client and browse the web from there. Maybe have a relative or friend leave a box for you to connect to.
Still, these will not stop the analysis of packets, only hide your data. Complain to the administration (maybe run some benchmarks with online speed tests and present them).
