I have setup a p2p network between my notebook and my desktop. the problem is that I am able to access the files on my desktop from my notebook but I am not able to access the notebook file from my desktop.

Whenever I click on the notebook icon in the network places I get a message saying:

"\\Ibm-c5bebd4e571 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Access is denied"

I have set all folders for sharing on both the computers. I have also tried placing data in the shared folders. but it doesn't help.

My notebook is running win xp home edition and my desktop is running win xp pro if that is of any concern.

I am having exactly the same problem with you, varchasv!
I've been trying for days to solve it!
Please help if you get anywhere...

(FYI, I have a different user name for each computer).

On XP machines you have to build an account on the other machine withte same log in and password info.

Computer A has anaccount for computer B and B has one for A.

Trun off firewalls and stuff until you're up and running.
