+outlook 2010 works on hotmail but not orange where i cannot

January 23, 2013 at 03:14:35
Specs: Windows 7, 12GB

I have several email accounts and recently joined Orangehome. After I set up my Orangehome email account in Outlook 2010 (in Windows 7 64bit Ultimate) and when got the congratulations notice I thought I was set.. But my test email didn't arrive and my Blackberry remained silent. I then sent test emails to my Hotmail, BTinternet and Orangehome email addresses and received mail on both my PC and Blackberry from only Hotmail and BT. Nothing, even after a long delay, was received from Orange. That is still the situation. In summary: I cannot receive emails, on either my PC or Blackberry that I send to myself (testing) on Orange, but can receive emails sent by myself to my other provider accounts.I have concluded that Orange likes my emails so much it is hanging onto them!!
HELP, Please!
David

Your best source of help with that problem is your nearest Orange shop. You are paying them for the service so it's their problem to fix.

It could be your BB is not set up properly for Orange email. They will be able to check the settings for you.

I have been to Orange and that resulted in loss of other connections -then to be told I'll need to call you back - the call never came. The settings I am using in Outlook are those recommended by Orange. After using thes esettings (including changing port settings, the message on Outlook was Congratulations you have configured you computer correctly. But still no test emails arrived. However, I went into Orangehome web mail and found my missing emails, some 50+ of them. So they are getting to Orange but not to me! I can use the Orange address to succesfully send to any provider emails in my phonebook. I am the one who can't receive their replies on my PC or Blackberry from Orangehome.
I need help from someone who has speciallised knowledge of Orange, Outlook 2010 and netweerk protocols.
Thanks anyway for your comments - you are right, it is an Orangehome problem!
Regards
David
