I have a Zyxel Prestige 662HW-61 router which I use with an ADSL connection to the Web. I would need an outdoor repeater because of a concrete wall which prevents the waves from getting through. Any particular brand and model you could recommend at a reasonable price? Is the repeater multi-directional?

Max distance between repeater and router is 100 yds. The repeater would be used for one station only

Sounds like the perfect application of a access point not a wireless bridge [which is what you mean by repeater]. A access point is wired to the present router and can be placed outside the concrete wall. A wireless bridge would encounter the same issue with the concrete blocking the wireless signal from the original router

If there is a window, couldn't the wireless bridge be placed just outside it and fulfill its role? It's the ground floor of a small house. The connection could be "triangular" between router, wireless bridge and receiver.

By the way, it's a max of 30 yds, not 100.

You don't need a bridge but a Access Point

You can't position the present router in the same window and accomplish the same thing without the AP/bridge?

I would email Zyxel support for their recommendation for a AP/bridge if set on that route. Expensive for one pc.

30 yards? Must be one heck of a concrete wall!

Is there a way to move the router to a place where the signal can get out. It wouldn't take much to go 30 yards. You'd be suprised how far you can run the wired connection and still be under spec. Just like old tv, simply playing with the antenna can change the signal a lot.
