Onboard LAN

im usin Gigabyte 8KNXP motherboard with onboard lan.i cant get the driver(intel pro/1000 ct network connection) installed properly, it says this device cannot start (code 10). In my network place there is this 1394 connection but i dont think i can use it.i need help, i dont think theres anythin wron with the lan it self cos when i plug the cable if flashes at the back. Any question u would like to ask that might help me plz email me. thanks

Device manager -> check to see if its installed properly.

check all wires and cables and make sure they are plugged in. Make sure cables work.

if using a router or hub, make sure wires are in the correct ports, happened to me...

Go to the motherboard website, look up your MB model and get the update for the onboard network drivers.

remove drivers, install new ones from the website.

if still doesnt work, disable it in the device manager, install a network card in one of the PCI slots that you know works.

Install those drivers, hook cable to the PCI card. dont forget to do that.

If through a router, disconnect wires from router and run directly to the PCI card or onboard network card to make sure you router or hub are not bad.

CHECK INTERNET CONNECTION lol...

make sure all of your system BUS files are properly like the PCI bridge in the device manager.
