onboard lan card or PCI slot ?

Hi all I got an onbard lan card wih my motherboard and a lan card in its pci slot too and would like to know which one will be the best to use please.any suggestions are grately appreciated.

For all practical purposes there's no difference between them. The onboard LAN controller saves you an expansion slot and may be marginally faster. If you're not going to use it go into BIOS and disable it or you'll have an unnecessary device running in background on your PC.
