Specs: Windows Vista
My firends pc is having a few issues.

Firstly quick spec list

Elitegroup computers Mcp73vt-pm Mainboard
Celeron Dual Core
2 Gig Ram
Onboard Grapphics, sound and ethernet.

The problem is the ethernet. It cant find the onboard ethernet at all, I have installed and reinstalleed drivers, not just ethernet but all the mainboard drivers.

When the sriver is installed using the instal file on the recovery disc it says install complete but dont work.

When driver is installed using device manager it gives says it can not install becuase a system device is not working properly.

I put a ethernet card in the computer and that worked for a bit but now wont and gives the same error message when drivers are install

Help would be appreciated, Its a mate mum's computer and she is a POWcraft (prisoner of warcraft) So is desperatly missing the PC.

I have a Lenovo with FreeBSD on it & it wouldn't see the chip so I bought a USB to Ethernet converter from Radio Shack TU2 ET100, Trendnet. It's been working ever since.
