The office network is doing something that I have never encountered before. I only notice it when i am downloading a file or playing an online game. This is because it only goes down for 5-15 Seconds. When it does go down i am booted from the game or the file stops downloading. When this happens I got to the web browser and the router config is what opens. When i run the "test connection" the Network parts are a pass but the "ping gateway" fails and the "ping DNS" fails. I usually just hit test over and over till i see that it is back online, then relog or whatever. Then sometimes it will stay up 2 minutes or even 20 minutes but then down it goes. Rinse and repeat. If anyone has any ideas that may help me solve this i would much appreciate it. The router/modem is a Netopia 3000 series unit. I have contacted At&t but they are no help of course. All they say is that the test they ran on the other end says that all is ok. I have talked to them several times and it still is not resolved. This is not a 1 computer specific problem as all the computers here are doing this. thanks again, cheers

This is either a router, modem, or provider issue. If you have another router on hand, try it and see if the problem persists. If it does, then it's likely your provider.

Should you be doing that when you're supposed to be working? LOL

"playing an online game." I guess if you have time for all that.

I suspect lease times or even firewall issues. Some firewalls and devices deny access due to attacks for a set amount of time.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
