I have 3 computers connected to a DI-704P Router. Whenever I turn my computer on it either takes about 10-20 minutes to get an IP address or I have to turn off and on my Cable and Router if I didn't obtain an IP from the router. The other 2 computers obtain an IP as soon as Windows loads like it should. I usually get a "Network Cable Unplugged" icon in the system tray until I obtain an IP. When it goes away, I sometimes am able to access the internet. There is obviously something on my computer that is preventing me from obtaining and IP address unless I spend like 10 min fiddling around with settings and resetting things. I have ZoneAlarm and A disabled Bluetooth network installed as well on my computer. Please help.

If you comp is telling a cable is unplugged, I would try another port on your router/switch and another cable as well. It sound like one or the other maybe on it way out.

Find out what is "different" about this PC as opposed to the other PCs that boot up quickly. The first thing I'd do is swap ports with a functioning client: If the problem moves to the new client it's something to do with the router; reload the firmware or mark that port "bad" and use another.
If the problem persists on the old client then swap out the cable and see if this solves the problem. Check the settings on the NIC to make sure they're the same as on the other 2 clients. Replace the NIC if you have a spare and see if this helps.
Scandisk, Defrag, and turn off all boot up applications that you don't absolutely need. Run a virus scan with an up-to-date virus scanner and see if this comes up with anything. Make sure you have the latest networking drivers installed.
