Number of addresses on one NIC

Is there a practical, or physical, limit to the number of IP address you can assign to one NIC? I have a special subnet setup with a second NIC in a few servers and a dedicated network switch between them. I have sucessfully in the past assigned 100 192.168.1.xx address to the second NIC without seeing and problems. I need to add another 100 address to the same NIC, that would be a total of 200 address for this dedicated NIC. Other than possible slowdowns on this NIC, is there any other issue assigning that many IP's to one NIC? Thanks, Pete

Are you using 2000 server? And are you wanting the ip address's to access this nic?
If i'm thinking right you can add the network monitor protocol to the nic and set the range of ip address to access the nic. exp 192.168.0.0 through 192.168.0.200.
