Hello, I am having slight difficulty with my system.
I have the internet coming through the NTL Cable modem --> VPN Firewall --> Switch
The cable modem obviously has its public IP but gives the Netgear router an internal IP address which is leaving me in trouble when it comes to port forwarding/mapping.
I have a DVR and would like to access it remotley (i have done this numerous amounts of times with previous customers, but not this system) i have tried forwarding the ports with the internal IP address that the DHCP server gave the DVR but still nothing. So, im presuming its just doing nothing because it's not using the external IP address that is in the cable modem.
Another thing, i have tried manually changing the IP address on the VPN Firewall Router with the exact settings that is on the cable modem & the internet just stops working until i reset the modem & it gets its internal IP address from the modem again (192.168.0.1)
It would be fantastic if anyone could help as i think im starting to go mad :)
Thank You.

sorry to revise a mistake:
