Dear all,
I'm in the process of upgrading our NT4.0 Server to Windows 2000 Active Directory. We are currently using WINS and looking to just use DNS after upgrading. However, in NT4.0 you have WINSADMIN tool that shows you the user name and the IP address assigned. If i need to find a user and the IP address assigned in Windows 2000, how do i go about that? We all know what these users are like, they contact you with a problem and to remote control there PC its best to find the IP address yourself and then use the command prompt using ping to resolve the IP address to a host name, rather than ask them such a techincal question.
