Comment:

I ran nslookup for my server and it gave me the correct the IP address but said "non-existent domain"

What does this mean and how do I fix it?

I am trying to get an ftp server and am wondering if this is causing the problems. Thank you for your time.

Can't find server name for address x.x.x.x: Non-existent domain

When using nsloooup, you may receive above message. This means there's no PTR records for name server's address. Go to the DNS check the records and also make sure enable PTR.
