Comment:

I connected two PCs with W98 and WXP and I set up my modem card and ethernet controllers. I set up my connections and all. But no matter what file I transfer in the transfer folder it doesn't do anything, neither it does when I try using the other PC's internet connection. I think I did something wrong. What are the correct things to do in order to transfer files from these two computers (that I described in the OS and CPU/RAM section) and to use the other computer's (the one with WXP on it) cable connection using the network? I am not quite an expert in networking and neither my father so please don't use much networking vocabulary (or just say what the words means). I know that the two PCs are correctly connected because the one with WXP noticed me. Thanks in advance.

What is the transfer folder?

To share files you would have to SHARE the Folder.

Also the XP would have to have the same USER and PASSWORD enabled for Win98 user.
