The system specs are as follows:
-Windows XP Professional w/SP2 and all additional updates
-Currently NO virus scan and NO firewall (windows firewall disabled)
-Clean install with no internet connected - local network ONLY ie) no spyware or virus problemsAthlon 64 X2 4400+
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
2 x Seagate 300GB SATA II 16MB Cache on the NVRAID mirrored with two partitions - one for Windows, and one for personal files.
1 x Seagate 300GB SATA I 8MB Cache on the Silicon Image 3132 SATA Controller - again shared for music\videos
2GB Corsair TwinX PC3200My problem comes when I try to share ANYTHING off of my NVRAID mirror drives. If I try to share the root of the one partition or any folders of the Windows partition I get the same error message
"//Server/XXXX is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Not enough server storage is available to process this command."
Funny thing is that I get that message even if I browse to "View Workgroup Computers" on the system sharing the folders and try to access the folders by browsing.
However, I can share anything on the single drive on the Silcon Image SATA drive without any problems whatsoever.
Already dumped and reloaded all drivers and did a repair install on Windows......to no avail.
Also did some suggestions I found on Google including:
"A. This problem may be due to the machines having a non-zero PagedPoolSize in the registry. This can be set by performing the following:
1. Log onto the server as an Administrator
2. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)
3. Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management
4. Double click on PagedPoolSize and set to 0
5. Click OK
6. Close the registry editor
7. Reboot the machineIf PagedPoolSize is 0 then it allows NT to dynamically allocate memory, the installation of software such as ARCServe is known to cause this problem.
This can also be caused when accessing a Windows NT Server share from a Windows NT client if IRPstackSize is too small. To correct try the following:
1. Log onto the server as Administrator
2. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)
3. Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\LanmanServer\Parameters
4. Double click on IRPstackSize
5. Increase the value. Valid ranges are between 1 and 12. Click OK
6. Reboot the machine.I don't believe it to be related to a Windows update on the basis that after doing a repair installation of Windows I tested the networking prior to reinstalling the updates.
I have also ruled out any conflicts with applications on the system by booting into SafeMode with networking - same result as within windows.
Full access to the one drive and no access to the RAID drives.
Any ideas??Thanks

You didn't remove 'everyone' from the disk access?
My suggestion would be to break the mirror. Format the shadow drive as ntfs and share it with no restrictions. Everyone with full control. No quotas. See if you can access it.
If not I would contact the nvraid manufacturer.
Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

That's funny. I have 2 Maxtor 300GB SATA2 HDs with 16MB cache setup as Raid 0 on the NVRAID controller. I upgraded the firmware on both drives yesterday and since then, I've been getting the same error message.
Looks like the RAID array may need to be created?! WTF!
I haven't even tried the above fixes yet, but I doubt they will work if you're having the same problem with the same hardware.

Yeah, its got to be the NVRAID controller. I have replicated this again using another system.
I am going to try to break the RAID and see if that fixes the problem.
Will post results.
