Comment: Please help me, I am not able to go online wired and wirelessly. I am having internet connectivity from the verizon DSL, the modem they had provided me is Westell and the router is Netgear WGR614v6. Before purchasing the Netgear router everything was working fine and now one ethernet cable is connected from the modem to the router and other cable is connected from the router to the desktop computer. I am also having a DELL Laptop and even that one is not working. Jack Dawson Loves All

Reply: (edit)I too have verizon dsl, but they provided me with a modem/router all in one unit. So, from the modem you should have a ethernet cable plugged into the router...should be in a wan port other then the lan ports. the desktop computer should be plugged into lan port. i would power everything down. first power on the modem and let it load up. Then power on the router and let it finish starting up. then power on the desktop pc making sure that the tcp/ip settings are to obtain an IP address automatically. if this works and desktop gets connected, then your labtop should be able to connect also wirelessly if the wireless network has been setup.

Reply: (edit)Same problem here with DSL from Verizon. Everything worked fine with the Westall modem alone. Then I tried connecting it to a router. I followed it step-by-step over and over again. I can't even get my Internet to work once I connect my DLink 514 router to my dsl modem and computer. Both cables work fine alone with the dsl modem, but once I try to connect using the router, it says "network cable unplugged."
