-i installed norton pc anywhere on two computers and i need to access the host the first computer is on a lan network and the second is also on the a lan network. i have set up the first computer to be the host and have put in the callers that i want and the second computer i have set up as a remote. i had the first computer stay on the screen where it says its waiting for connections and then i went over to the second computer (its at a different house) and tried to connect. i put in the necassary ip address and i tried to connect but it doesnt work whats wrong?

" i tried to connect but it doesnt work whats wrong?"
The answer is:
1. Firewall (WinXP or other)
2. Router (or gateway computer)
One of those two or both.
If you have Firewall on one of those computers - you must configure it
If you have routers - you must configure it also.
You can try to connect both computers directly to the internet and you will see if it works (no firewalls or routers - you must have EXTERNAL IP to do this test). Don't do that for longer period of time - it is not secure.
If it is working that way - that means - you have to configure your LANsAlso remember to put user names, passwords and choose "PC ANYWHERE ENCRYPTION" for grater security on BOTH COMPUTERS!. Check if you have enabled "DENY LOWER ENCRYPTION LEVEL" check box
Check all the above and let me know if it works.
