Specs: Windows XP
i bought a Nook and am having problems connecting to my local LinkSys wi-fi network router. I reset the password on the Linksys router. On the Nook it shows my local network, but when I enter the password (correctly) to connect, it says that the password is not correct. can anyone suggest correct steps to connect? has anyone else had this problem ?

I take it you changed the wireless encryption passphrase.
By local network you mean your ssid?

Other wireless devices connect just fine?
you matching the encryption level [wep/wpa..]?
matching b,g, n
router set to provide a dhcp ip to the nook m[enabled and a large enough ip scope]

reboot the router then reboot the nook [if its anything like an itouch]
if you still can't connect set the wireless encryption to none on the router then see if you can connect.

If you try to connect wirelessly, you don't have to use the password, that is used, to authenticate to the routers web interface for configuration.
What you need, to authenticate your computer to the wireless router, is the SSID (Service Set Identifier), that's the name of your wireless network and the encryption key, you've configured, to secure your wireless network.
