I know this question will initially pan out similar to the others, but it looks like the situation is reversed from other posts. I have a winxp OS hosting a workgroup connection via cat 5 cable to a hub connecting the win98 box. Win98 box is client to winxp. I also have have a dial up connection coming off the XP box and can connect from either pc. I can access shared files off of winxp box from EITHER pc. I ran Network setup disk on 98 box after setting up on xp. I have client for MS networks and file sharing checked, however I still appear to get no option for sharing after right clicking folders on win98 box. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tom

hi I've had some nasty problems with XP and 98. Received all sorts of silly messages "network path incorrect" or somthing to that effect and more. I now have them running like two Boeings flying in formation, try this. on the 98 pc goto control panel, network and highlight "File & printer sharing for Micro.. Net..", then select properties, you get 2 windows, select "Browse Master" and under "Value" window select disabled. You may need to restart. This has worked for me, hope it works for you. Cheers, ET>
