No network , no Internet HELP!!!!!

Please I really don't know what could happen. I uninstall office 2000 from one computer (windows 2000) and then install office XP (I didn’t upgrade), after rebote, There was no more internet or network, I couldn’t browse other computer. The network use DHCP and I haven’t change any network configuration after install Office XP. I also have tried assigned TCP/IP address, The NetBios configuration is ok. The strangest thing is that the network connection is connected, I mean look like that everything is Ok, so is not the cable or the network adapter.
