ok here is the problem, i have 2 XP pc connected to a linksys nr041 4 port router. everything is connected to dsl. both computers can access the internet or share files or printer with each other, but pc1 can ping pc2 and router but pc2 cant ping pc1 but can still ping router.

no firewall is active.

the reason i post my problem here,(yeah its wierd if i can access files and internet so whats my prob) is that i cant play lan games (warcraft 3 : when i start a game on on pc, it would not apear on the other vice versa)
i cannot play a tcpip game (diablo 2 baldurs gate 2 etc)could you help me with this wierd problem im having ? its been like 2 weeks i try to get it to work with no results.

From your problem definition it is obvious that PC2 is the fault. I would check a file on your syetm called service it has to extention. In there ICMP should be listed with a port number, it should not have a #. If it has a # or is not listed, then ICMP is not functioning on your system. Your system can run with ICMP types.
