Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
I have a 2nd pc that i want to add to my basic home network. I have installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit yet still have issues connecting to my router. There is basic activity but nothing on the internet I have tried to use command line netsh to force DHCP on it says it is but I am getting a subnet mask of when everything else is not sure if this matters as there are only 4 devices on the network.

What hub do you have? Look at the device manager. Make sure that the proper drivers are installed for the adapter. If all is well there, connect it directly to the router (wired).

We're going to need to look at the TCP/IP settings of the problem computer. It would be good to also show us the TCP/IP settings from a working computer so we can compare.

Open a command prompt window (ie: Start >> Run >> type cmd and hit Enter) and perform the following command:

ipconfig /all

Once you've finished, copy/paste the output into a response on here so we can have a look.

For info on how to copy/paste from a command prompt window click on my name above and read my "how-to" guide titled, "Post the output of ipconfig (version 2)"

Be sure to label which is which (working - not working) when you respond with the output of the ipconfig commands on both PC's.
