I have an odd thing...I have a business' PC where they had Spyware/Virus problems in the past. The PC is now cleaned of spyware and viruses and Win 2000 w/SP3 has been reinstalled. However, here what's happening...
- When system was first put on the network (Business DSL), popups and junk came up...since cleaned, but now on reboot no Internet. - I checked the machine and thought ok Winsock/TCPIP destroyed...removed and reinstalled both and voila...Internet. - Updated Anti Virus and Spyware and reboot....bang...no Internet. - Pulled up browser and put in router ip...cannot connect. However... - I can ping to router fine...it sees it. Matter of fact, I can ping outside the router (IE www.google.com) - IPCONFIG shows router's address in gateway and DHCP is working (PC has address). - Dynamic IP setup..pretty straight forward. - Also, cannot set up network printer...can't find other PC (Swapped cable on nearby other PC and can see network printer and has Internet all the time).
