Specs: windows 7 home premium
okay so I tried to "REBUILD" my Sony Vaipo laptop (product name vpceh13fx) by reinstalling windows 7. the installation was successful but now it says I do not have any network hard drive available. I go into drive manager all of my drivers for example ethernet controller, network controller, excetera all have yellow (!). also instead of having my wireless icon at the bottom I now have a computer with an ethernet cable over it with a big red X. What does that mean. Help!

It means a couple of things;

You didn't do your homework :-)
You were to have found your driver cd or downloaded the drivers for your laptop previously to doing the reinstall.

Device manager exclaimation points means no driver loaded.

No driver loaded for the ethernet card results in no networking which is why you gto the big x.

from a different pc/laptop go to toshiba web site, lookup your model laptop and download all the drivers for it to a usb stick. Transfer those files to a folder on your desktop and install them starting with the chipset drivers and then work your way down the list.
