no internet after installin xp

I just installed xp on my computer for the first time on a brand new hard drive. I downloaded my dsl internet, but there is no connetion with the computer. I done everything IO could think of and everything is pluged in right. I need help any advise would be great.

Check in device manager and make sure your network card drivers are installed. If not there will be a yellow exclamation point beside it. To get there, start>run and then type in "devmgmt.msc" without the quotes and click on ok button.

I got the internet to work, but i have no sound the drivers wont update for that. any advice will help thanks

You need to download the drivers from the acer website. Same with graphics drivers, etc.
