Hi all, I cannot access some websites and when I try to either PING ou TRACERT I donīt receive a response. However I DO receive from many others. I think itīs a problem with my ISP, however they swear they can access those websites and thereīs nothing wrong. DOes anyone have a clue on whatīs goin on? Help is very much appreciated Cheers!!

Check your router or firewall filter to see if it filter out those site. You may not be able ping some site because some of them does not support icmp.

hi niceguy Iīm actually running my LAN without a router/firewall. Basically 2 WinXP via a cross-over cable. Any other clues??? cheers

Browser hijack setting an "AD companies" DNS server in you network configuration (also known as "Internet Accelerator") instead of you using your ISP's default DNS, so they can control what sites you access and keep track of what you view. Would have really helped if you had listed what sites you can reach and what you can not.
