No APs found

I installed Net Stumbler but it says no access points found. I don't actually have a wireless network set up yet. I have a laptop with wireless and can pick up wireless networks nearby but Net Stumblers does not detect the networks. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Forgot to mention...I installed NetStumbler to see what channels the other networks are using, so when I set up my own, I can use a channel not being used.

In NetStumbler, you might have to change the setting in the Device menu.

Yes, I changed the setting in the device menu to NDIS and the AP's came up! I can see which channels they are using. Thanks!
