I just bought a nintendo wifi connector to connect my wii to the internet, because we just got high-speed internet. Before I set the adaptor up, I had ICS let another laptop with a WLAN card connect over an ad hoc network, so I could have internet on it. (The laptop with internet is using an ethernet port.) The nintendo wifi connector demands that I use ICS with it, but I want to share internet through the wifi connector and my WLAN card. I don't want to try bridging, because I just finally got the wifi adaptor to work, and I don't think it will support it. I also don't want to do the hack that makes the wifi adaptor a soft AP. Is there a way to share the internet connection through both the wifi adaptor and my internal WLAN in XP?

Your best bet is to just get a wireless router for your internet and let the WII talk wirelessly with the router. I set it up for my kids and it works great . It like any other wireless device , set up encrption, allow the mac-address in the router and away you go. Even the kids nintendo ds's can talk to the WAP .

Well, that solution costs money that I don't have. I went for the wifi connector because it was $17.

You can get a router for like $30 and the WII already comes with a built in wifi connector from the factory.

Yes, indeed... I am aware of this fact. My question was... Can I use the things that I have and connect a laptop to the internet through my other WLAN adapter.

I have no idea what you're asking since you post is extremely confusing, but I'll just explain (maybe it'll help you answer your own question) that the Nintendo adapter will only connect wirelessly to other Nintendo products (i.e the DS and Wii). Therefore the only way you can use the ninty adapter to allow a Wii to connect to the Internet is to use ICS on the computer the adapter is connected to. It is the only way without using hacks.

I am aware that it only connects Wii and Ds's. Again: Is there a way in Windows XP to share the internet connection with two other network connections? I want to connect my Wii and DS through the nintendo wifi adaptor, and my other computers through an ad-hoc wifi network (with the built in wifi hardware). I've tried bridging, and it already screwed up the wii's connection. Is there a workaround?
