Comment:
I have a wireless router and have set up a home network for two computers (shared files, shared printer, same workgroup). If I install a new router, will I have to set up the home network from scratch again? I have tried the new router and, although each computer can access the internet through it, the home network seems to have disappeared
odds are you have a new ip subnet the router is giving your pcs and as such your windows firewall/other software firewall is blocking your networking. Configure your pc firewall to trust your subnet.
Imagine the power if you knew how to internet search
One at a time is certainly enough but the one I currently have is getting old and I have been given a modern, high-performance router. I don't want to use two routers simultaneously (not sure that this is possible anyway) but simply upgrade.
