Hi, I have 2 brands of Wireless Network Adapter; Netgear MA101 and Linksys WUSB11, both of which said were compatible with Windows XP, and both of which were not, but work after some tweaking. I know there is an issue with the Wireless Zero Configuration service in Windows XP. I want to know if there are any Wireless Network Adapters (either USB or PCI) that actually work with Windows XP out of the box without any tweaking required. Thanks Alex

No. You will have to configure any wireless adapter you get. The joys of wireless.....

Gather your computer into a pile. Next, grab a chair and stand on it. Finally, shout with all your voice, "Does anyone know how to read a manual?"

But there must be some Wireless Adapters out there that are fully compatible with XP? Both the adapters I have don't work as well under XP as they would under an earlier version of Windows like ME. For the Linksys the actual software for the card is not compatible with XP, even though the box said it was. I don't mind configuring the network, i don't, however, want to have to turn off the 'Wireless Zero Configuration' service every time I startup the computer like I have to with the linksys. I just want an adapter that will WORK, no problems, with Windows XP. There must be some! Thanks Alex
