I've got a Netgear WGT624 router, producing 108mbps, and a WG111T wireless usb adapter to the secondary computer, im new to routers, but am experiencing unbelievable slow browsing time even though the signal reads excellent. Its like being on Dial up all over again! any thoughts much appreciated. Stu77.

If a hardwired computer browses fine, I think I'd check for signal interference. Do you use corless phones int the 2.4Ghz range in your house? Lots of flourescent lights? Have a radio station transmitted in your backyard? =)

You should be able to check your link speed to the router from the wireless PC somehow (through Windows or through vendor supplied sofware), if it is recieving the full bandwidth then I'd check your ISP connection.

no its still slow even if i turn off the cordless phones. On the main computer plugged into the wireless router theres nowhere to get into the settings. My brother installed this router im wondering if its done properly, the secondary p.c has a couple of settings but nothing thats changed the speed of both computers. Stu77.
